The Press Factory – Studio Terms & Conditions

Welcome to The Press Factory (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking, accessing, or using our studios and facilities, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a safe, professional, and respectful environment for all users.

1. Eligibility & Identification

1.1 All customers must be aged 16 or over unless accompanied by a responsible adult approved by The Press Factory.

1.2 Valid government-issued photo ID must be presented on arrival before access is granted. Accepted forms include:

• Passport
• Driving licence
• National ID card

1.3 We reserve the right to refuse entry where:

• ID cannot be provided
• The booking details do not match the attendee
• A guest appears intoxicated, aggressive, or unsafe

2. Bookings & Access

2.1 Studio sessions must be booked in advance through our booking system.

2.2 Entry instructions, and studio information are confidential and must not be shared.

2.3 Customers are responsible for ensuring all guests follow these Terms & Conditions.

2.4 Booking times include setup and pack-down time. Users must vacate the studio promptly at the end of their session.

3. Studio Rules

3.1 Respect the studio, equipment, staff, neighbours, and other users at all times.

3.2 No smoking or vaping is permitted inside the building or studios.

3.3 Illegal substances are strictly prohibited on the premises.

3.4 Excessive noise outside the studio rooms is not permitted.

3.5 Any behaviour deemed threatening, abusive, discriminatory, or dangerous may result in immediate removal without refund.

4. Drinks, Food & Equipment Protection

4.1 Drinks and liquids must never be placed on the same table or surface as DJ decks, mixers, controllers, laptops, studio monitors, or recording equipment.

4.2 Drinks must be kept on designated side tables or approved areas only.

4.3 Any damage caused by spills, negligence, misuse, or reckless behaviour will be charged to the booking holder in full.

4.4 Food should be consumed responsibly and all rubbish must be disposed of before leaving.

5. Equipment Use

5.1 Users must handle all equipment carefully and only use it for its intended purpose.

5.2 Equipment must not be removed, unplugged, modified, or tampered with without permission.

5.3 Customers are financially responsible for:

• Damage
• Loss
• Theft
• Missing accessories
• Excessive cleaning costs

5.4 Technical issues should be reported immediately.

6. Guests & Capacity

6.1 Studio occupancy limits must be respected at all times.

6.2 Unauthorised parties, events, or gatherings are prohibited unless approved in writing.

6.3 The Press Factory reserves the right to deny entry to additional guests beyond the permitted capacity.

7. Security & Monitoring

7.1 CCTV operates throughout communal areas for safety and security purposes.

7.2 Recording devices may be used to monitor studio access and protect equipment.

7.3 Tampering with security systems or emergency equipment is strictly prohibited.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

8.1 Bookings may be cancelled or rescheduled up to [48 hours] before the session start time.

8.2 Late cancellations or missed sessions are non-refundable.

8.3 The Press Factory may cancel bookings due to emergencies, technical failures, or safety concerns. In these cases, a refund or reschedule will be offered.

9. Liability

9.1 Customers use the facilities at their own risk.

9.2 The Press Factory is not responsible for:

• Lost or stolen items
• Personal injury caused by misuse of equipment
• Technical interruptions outside our control

9.3 Nothing in these terms limits liability where prohibited by law.

10. Breach of Terms

10.1 Breaching these Terms & Conditions may result in:

• Immediate removal from the premises
• Suspension or permanent banning
• Charges for damages or cleaning
• Cancellation of future bookings

10.2 Serious incidents may be reported to law enforcement.

11. Acceptance of Terms

By making a booking or entering The Press Factory premises, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
